The National Women’s Law Center (NWLC) recently published, Getting Organized: 2010 Update, a summary of home-based child care provider unionization developments that have happened across the nation over the past year. The report “shows how unionization has given home-based child care providers a stronger voice in tough times, winning some significant gains, averting some cuts, securing a role in making decisions that affect their lives and highlighting the importance of child care.”
Wisconsin was one of eighteen states featured in the report, highlighting the work of the
AFSCME affiliate, Child Care Providers Together (CCPT). Read the full report here!
