Dane County government plays a key role in early childhood education, funding $25 million of the $175 million spent each year on Child Care Early Childhood Education in the county. In fact, 20% of children in Dane County’s Early Childhood Programs are partially supported by these funds. The Dane County Executive plays a key role in how those funds are administered locally.
