WECA is coordinating YoungStar support groups for our members around the state where there is interest. This will give our members  an opportunity to get together with other early childhood professionals to talk about YoungStar.

WECA members will be able to discuss how they are getting ready for YoungStar ratings, ask questions about the standards, and have opportunities to share what has been done to meet various standards. By being part of a WECA-coordinated support group, YoungStar staff members — either formal raters or technical consultants-will be available to facilitate any or all of the meetings. That means that members will get the most accurate information about YoungStar, from the people who are consulting with and evaluating programs across the state.
