I work in a Public School Rec Camp program right now with 3 and 4 yr old. I am laid off as an educational assistant and took the job due to the fact that I loved what I was doing. (working with children in education). I worked as an EA for 15 years under teachers in Kindergarten and Head Start programs. I dud that job with no credits and learned hands on. I am 53 yrs old and don’t think going to school is going to teach me anything I haven’t learned along the way already! Now all of a sudden I am told I need credits in early education. Doesn’t the years put in working under the guidance of a teacher count for anything?
